Be the first to know! OUR NEWEST ADVENTURES ARE ON OUR BLOG!
In April of 2006 travelers Karen Catchpole (writer) and Eric Mohl (photographer) left their jobs and apartment in New York City and embarked on the Trans-Americas Journey, a 200,000 mile cross-country and cross-continental overland drive down the Pan-American Highway. Their working road trip is an exploration of the byways and back roads of North America, Central America and South America and a search for the people, places and things that make every place special—a true Pan-American overland journey. In December of 2008 the Trans-Americas Journey wrapped up in the US and Canada and crossed the border into Mexico where Karen and Eric spent 18 months driving nearly 25,000 miles through all but three of the Mexican states. The team then spent nearly three months in Belize, more than four months in Guatemala, nearly three months in Honduras and in El Salvador before entering Costa Rica where they are right now. The coming years will be spent exploring, shooting, writing and driving through the rest of Central and South America until they literally run out of road in Tierra del Fuego. Check out Karen’s Travel Journals and Eric’s Photo Galleries for exclusive stories and travel photography from the early days of the Trans-Americas Journey.
