Our Latest Work: Gators. Tent. Swamp. Really. – Okefenokee National Wildlife Reserve, Georgia

We’ve done a lot of camping since our Trans-Americas Journey beganin 2006. However, some of the most unusual and most breathtaking wilderness over-nighting recently took place in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Georgia where we canoed in to our own private camping platform and slept mere inches above the alligator filled swamp.

This piece has man-eating reptiles, migrating birds and utter, utter seclusion. We say, plan your own canoe camping trip now!
