UPDATE 7/28/08:
We are proud and excited to introduce the newest member of the Trans-Americas Journey team--a shiny new Airstream Safari SE travel trailer! As we roam through the southwest, northwest and plain old west We'll be towing our new trailer behind us with all the comforts of home including a bathroom, a kitchen, a comfy bed, even air conditioning, TV and a radio. We'll also be blogging as we go and we hope you'll check our progress at Airstream Adventures as well as right here on our original site.

In April of 2006, travelers Karen Catchpole (writer) and Eric Mohl (photographer) embarked on the Trans-Americas Journey, a three-year, 100,000+ mile cross-country and cross-continental drive. The overland journey,  in a Chevy Silverado, is an exploration of the byways and back roads of North America, Central America and South America and a search for the people, places and things that make every place special. A true Pan-American road trip.

Check out Karen’s Travel Journals and Eric’s Photo Galleries for exclusive stories and travel photography from the expedition.
