We’ve done a lot of camping since our Trans-Americas Journey began in 2006. However, some of the most unusual and most breathtaking wilderness camping recently took place in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Georgia where we canoed in to our own private camping platform and slept mere inches above the alligator filled swamp. Then we wrote about it for the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper. This piece has man-eating reptiles, migrating birds, and utter seclusion.
