We found many things to love about Bogotá, Colombia but a real stunner was the city’s Museo de Oro (Gold Museum), which was one of the best museums we’ve ever visited (3,000 COP/about US$1.25, free for all on Sundays, tours available in English). The exhibits are fantastic with descriptions in Spanish and English, the collection is breathtaking, and the guides are passionate and knowledgeable. There are thousands of gold items created by the different pre-Hispanic cultures in Colombia on display in the Gold Museum in Bogotá. Here are a few highlights.

Who knew there are so many fabulous gold pieces to see at this Gold Museum in Bogota! A reason to visit, right? A museum that really struck us big time with its immense wealth of treasures was the “Green Vault” in Dresden, Germany. It houses one of the most sumptuous collections of treasure in Europe, but it isn’t as well-known as other museums – many people aren’t even aware of its existence.
Nice post . Thanks for your sharing .
I wonder how much any of it costs? and thanks for sharing. ;)
