Hotel des Artistes is the only luxury, all-suite, apartment-style hotel in Punta Mita with a restaurant run by celeb chef Thierry Blouet—and it just got a lot more irresistible.

Hotel des Artistes in Mexico.
Book any night in August, September or October and your rate will be cut in half. A member of Mexico Boutique Hotels, all 12 suites at Hotel des Artistes have full gourmet kitchens, two or three bedrooms (with 1,400-2,400 square feet), a laundry room and most have large furnished outdoor deck space.
All are interior-design-magazine-ready with earthtones and clean lines and plenty of stone and wood—a welcome modern break from the cacophony of color and woven reeds found in some beachfront rooms.
During a recent stay, my deluxe three bedroom Beach Club Suite had so many bathrooms I could have used a different one every day and I cooked up a storm in the huge, well-stocked kitchen with its Viking range and roomy central-island work station. I did, however, venture downstairs to Chef Blouet’s chic and indoor/outdoor Café des Artistes restaurant (love the springtime colors and the dangling glass orbs) for a meal that started with a perfectly mixed gin martini and included falling-apart osso buco, fresh and flavorful seared tuna, oysters (cooked and raw), attentive service and a lovely wine list.
The beach, just a few sandy steps off the lobby, rolls in surf gentle enough for kids to safely enjoy and Hotel des Artistes also has a private rooftop with a curving infinity edge pool a hot tub and a bar—the perfect place to watch sunset turn everything mauve for one magical second.
Families or couples traveling together will not find more stylish or comfortable or valule-for-money accommodations anywhere in Punta Mita. And don’t miss the Bar Czar just up the block. It’s a vodka bar with Thai décor and the mix goes down smoother than you’d expect.
During this special promotion, Beach Club Suites are $160,
Deluxe Suites are $180 and Deluxe Three Bedroom Beach Club Suites are $240.
