In northern Peru, the high Andes drop down to the Amazon creating a transition zone with just the right weather and flowers to help an amazing array of hummingbirds thrive. Here some of our favorite hummingbird photos from the cool cloud forest around the town of Leymebamba at 7,228 feet (2,203 meters) and from the steamy tropical jungle of the upper Amazon River system around the town of Moyobamba at 2,820 feet (860 meters).
