The recent passing of Colombia’s Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez (aka, Gabo) inspired a piece for the Biography Channel’s website about some of the magical places to travel to in Colombia which inspired Garcia Marquez’s work including One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera.
We also got on board the yacht which Grace Kelly honeymooned on for a week-long cruise through Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands. Yeah, it was that amazing, as you’ll see in our piece for Bio.com.
Back in Colombia we explored Getsemani, the coolest neighborhood in Cartagena to write a travel guide to area for the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune.
And speaking of travel guides, we pulled together the very best of the best in luxury travel to Belize to produce a totally new Belize Destination Report for the high-end, subscription-based, online travel magazine Indagare.com. We did the same for the city of Cartagena to produce their Cartagena Destination Report.
It wasn’t luxurious, but we spent an exciting night in the rain forest of the Mindo Valley in Ecuador on a “herping” excursion in search of the Pinocchio lizard, once feared extinct. Find out if we were successful or not in this piece we did for the Dallas Morning News.
