Enjoy highlights from our July 2010 road trip in Mexico wher we started the month in Campeche then headed south and toured the Rio Bec Mayan archaeological site before reaching one of the grandest Mayan sites of them all, Calakmul–practically on the border with Guatemala.

Next we were off to the city of Villahermosa, then down into the state of Chiapas and the lovely little big city of San Cristóbal de las Casas. From there we went down to Comitán, then around the Lacandon Jungle and up to Palenque before driving back through San Cristóbal de las Casas in order to get to Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
